What We Do

Do you want your child to learn how to be part of a class? Be exposed to experiences they wouldn’t get at home, and get excited about school and learning?

AM Pre-Prep can set the tone for your child’s educational journey. Seeing school as a fun, exciting and caring place can lay the foundation for lifelong curiosity and learning.

Our Pre-Prep program transitions students from our Toddler Program to AM Prep School with ease.

AM First Steps (Pre-Prep) is a 2 hour program that is purposeful, thoughtful and intended to bridge the gap between “learn-through-play” and explicit teaching.

AM Pre-Prep is a program designed to introduce young leaners aged 2.5 years – 3.5 years to learn in a classroom environment through gentle instruction and play-based learning activities in both Numeracy and Literacy.

Students participate in weekly hands-on learning, working on fine-motor skills, learning through song, actions and making connections to prior knowledge, as well as building positive relationships with their teacher and peers.

The centrepiece of our Pre-Prep Program is hands-on-learning, and purposeful activities that change each week to reflect the learning outcomes.

In our Pre-Prep curriculum, students work through activities and rotate from one area to another. Each activity has an intentional learning goal and a link to an overarching unit theme or weekly focus. Our Scope and Sequence works in-line with AM Prep School for a smooth transitions into the next stage of learning.

At AM Pre-Prep we know that children learn in hands-on ways. Children have to be active agents in their own learning. This means choices and engaging things to do. Our classroom invites students to explore and discover!
